Looking to make a statement at the yacht club? This will do it.
Russian armored-vehicle manufacturer Dartz Prombron has teamed up with Eduard Gray of Swedish luxury-vehicle design firm Gray Design to create the 2012 Sportback, which is made to haul yachts and maybe scare small children.
The Sportback’s release will coincide with the 100th anniversary of the Monte Carlo Rally win of Andrey Nagel and Vadim Mikhailoff, who drove the C24/55 Monaco RussoBalt sports car in the event. RussoBalt was later reborn as Dartz Prombron.
The Sportback pays homage to Monte Carlo’s yachting tradition. Built on the Dartz platform, the armored car can tow boats that weigh up to five tons and are 49 feet in length. Its engine reportedly makes a staggering 2,000 hp and has a projected top speed of 155 mph.

The 2010 Mercedes E-Class W212 Sedan has just got better looks thanks to a new styling kit by German tuners Autotechnik + Tuning (ATT) that promises to bring the “pleasant original deluxe-sportster” looks that would take your eyes away with its aerodynamic changes. Speaking of changes it brings new spoilers at the front and back, front grill (that we don’t buy in, with the empty circle), and side skirts, with exhaust pipes hidden under the rear spoiler, for €6,452. On top of that, for another €3,869 you’re getting new 9×20″ or 10.5×20″ alloy wheels (that we don’t buy in) and Hankook S1 EVO high performance tires. A bit too much, don’t you think …

After a long hiatus of spy shots of the next-generation Hyundai Elantra, we have the first clear images of the completed interior of the brand’s popular compact offering. From these shots, it is evident that Hyundai has ditched the conservative design of the current Elantra in favor of a rather radical and polarizing one.
Code-named ‘MD’, the redesigned Elantra is yet another rendition of Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture design theme that is also conveyed in the new Sonata and Tucson. The 2011 Elantra sedan will feature a sportier overall appearance, with larger front grille, stretched head-lamps, steeper windshield rake and lower roof-line.
As for now, we have no confirmed details on 2011 Elantra’s engine options but you can expect to see Hyundai’s new 2.0L Theta four-cylinder engine placed under its hood. In addition, Hyundai will probably introduce a 1.6L four-cylinder engine in the entry-level, Elantra Blue model, which will achieve above average mileage thanks to the applied gasoline direct injection technology.
The sales date has not been confirmed for the 2011 Elantra. However, sources report that the launch date is tentatively scheduled for July of 2010. Our take? With Hyundai’s 24/7 in full force, we expect the Elantra to be launched much earlier, especially considering the fact that the new compact sedan is next in line for unveiling according to the brand’s plan. We will see for now.
